Bernardo Wade

New Orleans native Bernardo Wade’s honors include the Puerto del Sol Poetry Prize, the Third Coast Poetry Prize, and the Academy of American Poet’s Vera Meyer Strube Poetry Prize. His poems appear in Black Warrior Review, Crazyhorse, Ecotone, Guernica, the Nation, the Southern Review, and elsewhere. Formerly editor of Indiana Review, he currently serves as assistant editor and poetry editor for Obsidian: Literature & Arts in the African Diaspora. His debut collection, A Love Tap, featuring a foreword by Ross Gay, is forthcoming from Lookout Books in 2025.
